Does life get you down? Do you get yourself down? Hello everyone. In this post of inspirational words of encouragement I wanted to put down some great stuff to change your thinking.
Normal events of life can be a real struggle. They become especially hard if we don’t learn how to control our own minds. Why don’t we work harder on our own minds? We work hard at work, taking care of our kids and our health.
If only, we could see how controlling our own minds would improve our lives, we would be laser focused on it.
It takes continuous practice.
It’s not easy to work on your mind but, with practice we can get stronger. Just like working out. If you don’t, you won’t be in as good of shape.
The point is to keep trying. Don’t ever give up. Don’t think negative when its not working and don’t beat yourself up about it.
The truth is, with a few steps and a little practice you can change your state in an instant.
Change your state of mind.
When negativity enters your mind you have the power to change it. The power to think positive. How you react to situations will directly impact the outcome of the situation.
You have to guard your mind. Don’t let thoughts of defeat, and meritocracy enter your mind. If they do, and they will, just say no thank you. I am more powerful than you and I only choose to think good thoughts.
It takes practice. Some things are easier to guard your mind against than others. Make a decision right now not to allow any negative thoughts enter. Try stop them in their tracks before they get bigger.
Practice this for a few days. Make a conscious effort to cast out all negative thought.
Science tells us our brains can’t tell the difference between something that is real and something we vividly imagined. I explain this as a way to practice what we want to happen so that when it does happen we can actually accept it.
Get somewhere quiet without distractions. Take some deep breaths and think of something in your past that made our extremely happy. Feel how it felt when your were overcome with joy. Now hold that feeling while you vividly imagine what you want to happen in your life.
This will take practice as well. Set aside 10 minutes of your day the next few days and see what happens. Notice how you feel in a week. Decide if it is working or if you need to make some tweaks.
After you have practiced the vivid visualization for a few days, and you feel good about it. It’s time to start expecting the change to occur.
You have to flex your faith muscles and expect it to happen. Not maybe, no I’m not sure if I’m doing it right, no doubt in your mind that the change is on its way.
Disregard all the lies your told yourself in the past and any lie anyone else told you in the past. Lies like, I’m not good enough or, I’m not smart enough. Remember, negative thoughts are not allowed in your mind anymore.
This is extremely important! You are training your mind to help you get to where you want to go.
You may find that right away you will be full of ambition and energy. Ready to get stuff done. This is great but, don’t let yourself get discouraged if that feeling starts to fade. If that feeling starts to fade it doesn’t mean that the change isn’t going to happen. It just means you need to get your certainty and faith going again.
NO NEGATIVE THOUGHTS ALLOWED!
If you are looking for more help or more specific help let me suggest Tony Robbins. You have probably heard of him. He has earned over $500 million helping people change their lives.
The front page of his website literally says “Decades of experience. Millions of lives changed. Undeniable results.”.
I would say this guy has it figured out. Those are bold statements. Anyway, there is an amazing amount of information on his site that can get you on the right track. Many things such as dealing with fears, positive thinking, running a business and even help with your health.

Thoughts lead to more thoughts which, lead to more thoughts. Eventually, those thoughts will lead to action. Think of it this way. People that rob banks don’t just do it without thinking about it first. It all starts with a single thought.
Okay, that was a bad example. I broke the rule of negative thinking. Hopefully I got the point across.
Here is a better example. If you one day decided to run a marathon you wouldn’t just head out the door and successfully run the 26.2 miles. Well, unless you are a crazy freak of nature you wouldn’t.
You would start by thinking about it. Then those thoughts would turn into thoughts of how am I going to run a marathon. If you have enough passion and develop a conviction to do it you would make a plan.
Thought would lead to action which would lead to more thoughts which would lead to more action. Get the point?
The point is, if your are going to think thoughts that will eventually cause you to take action, then you want those thoughts to be positive. Positive thoughts will eventually lead to positive actions. Positive actions will eventually lead to positive results.
It seems so simple doesn’t it? Well its not that easy. It will take practice.
